WordPress Suicide
I fixed yet another WordPress theme that had hidden text embedded in it today! These designers either aren’t thinking at all or they just don’t know any better. Either way, I feel bad for people that end up with themes that can do more harm than good. Never, ever use hidden text in your site. It isn’t worth it.
If you’re worried about having problems like that in your theme, download one of the themes I’ve optimized for search engines. I went through each one of them with a fine-toothed comb.

Technorati Authority – 1,002
CourtneyTuttle.com’s Technorati authority passed 1,000 earlier today. Technorati authority is calculated by counting the number of unique blogs that have linked to this site. The total number of links sits at 2,562. I just have to say thanks for everyone that has linked to my site and I promise I’ll keep trying to help everyone out as much as I can!
Alexa Ranking Improved To 34,817
The last time I reported my Alexa ranking it sat barely under 50,000. That was under a month ago, so it has moved quite a bit since then. Alexa uses a three month average to determine their rankings. According to them, I get more traffic than all but 34,816 sites in the world. My one week average is currently 21,465 so I expect to get into that range with the next month or two.
The Alexa widget is on crack and still shows the site at 38,524. It always runs a few days behind schedule. If you go to my rankings page at Alexa you can find what the real ranking is. 
My ranking in the United States has improved to 7,865. I don’t know if i ever thought I would be in the top 10,000 websites in the U.S. but I’ll take it.

Congrats on the technorati and alexa improvements! Just one thing though, today is the 15th (maybe the 16th depending on where you live), not the 18th.

Alexa ranking is easy to manipulate. Just make your friends install Alexa toolbar, as them to visit your page once every day.. and viola!

Alexa can be manipulated, but it gets pretty hard to manipulate once you get into the area where you’re getting hits in the thousands.

The theme I fixed today was one of the individuals ones I fixed for someone! Watch for the Misty Look, I’m working on it.
I used the ‘Buy Me A Beer’ plugin, and yes, I was able to get rid of the $4 shipping charge!
