How To Register A Domain Name

In this video I will show you how to register a domain name on ProudDomains.com, which is the company I use to register my domains.

Proud Domains is a very reliable registrar and is actually cheaper than most of the big names including GoDaddy.com, Register.com, and Yahoo.com.

This video is part of my ‘How To Start A Blog‘ series, which will contain more than 50 videos that will help you to create, configure, and run a blog for profit. This one will, of course, show you how to register a domain name. Make sure that you subscribe through RSS if you don’t want to miss a video.

      I found a green keyword phrase and when i went out to buy the domain name it wasn’t available. Do you recommend adding a word in front of that phrase or the end of it to keep it as a .com domain name or keep the original keyword phrase and buy a .net or .org instead? If I wanted to keep it as a .com domain name, the domain name is now really long. What is the best scenario?

    Those controls look very similar to GoDaddy. Who runs Proud Domains?

    Another question … it seems like most of the SEO guys, Internet Marketing Guys, and so forth register all their domains as PRIVATE so no contact information is available. You say that it doesn’t really matter, but for backlinking strategies and so forth are you sure you want people deconstructing your “empire”? Lol.

    I also wanted to ask about the private info. I guess that is something we have to fill up, otherwise we are told that if that info is not accurate we may end up getting in trouble.

    Court, my domain providers provide a service where they hide my personal information for $5 per domain, do you use the same service?

      Some web hosting services charge to hide your personal information, but I’d pick one that offers it for free. I know Bluehost doesn’t charge, and I’m sure there are others.

    Your site is great and these videos are great – I just wish they were coming out every day – I await each one so much I feel like I’m sitting on pins and needles. .     I watched the video and wished I had seen it before I bought my domain. It took me 4 days to get my domain. This was because you have to either have a credit card or debit card with your paypal or they won’t accept it without it. (My paypal is thru my checking account) Yikes, I called and emailed and all that, it was a long drawn out ordeal. Finally, I went and got a prepaid credit card and used that (it worked) proceeded to get a web host and finally the blog. Believe it or not it took 3 weeks to get a domain, a web host and for blog to go live.

Расскажу, как это было: сели мы в самолет, который взлетел только через 3 часа, Ñ‚.к. нам не позвонили из турфирмы карлыгаш и не сказали, что самолет задерживается, но это были только цветочки, а когда мы оказались в пункте назначения, то одноименный фильм отдыхает по сравнению с тем, что пришлось пережить нам благодаря этой турфирме карлыгаш. Задержки везде и во всем и проблемы с питаниям, мы испытывали сутками, что сразу говорит о профессионализме карлыгаш! Итог: Жена уже 3 недели лечится от бытового сифилиса, а я к тому же подхватил туберкулез.

    ный случай приключился позавчера вечером. Мой крестник не так давно занимается с репетитором по английскому языку. Предмет даётся ему не просто, поэтому он всячески хочет уйти от ”ненужных» заданий.
    И вот однажды, когда преподаватель в очередной раз намеревался задать домашнее задание, моё чудо как взвизгнет: “Ох, ох, ох, моя рука, она просто ужасно болит!”, а через секунду добавил: «Ой, если бы Ð’Ñ‹ пожалели меня и не давали мне никаких заданий, то вероятно она перестала болеть бы намного cкорее!». Репетитор разнервничался и начал быстро рассказывать о том, что когда он учился в техникуме…
    … Но в этот момент в зал зашла сестра и с изумлением спросила: «Что, разве у Вас нет высшего образования по английскому языку? Мне жутко охото увидеть Ваш диплом!».
    Видели бы Ð’Ñ‹ этого несчастного — как оказалось, у него вообще нет профильного образования по английскому языку. А по призванию он — только подумайте – сварщик!!!
    Ситуация возмутительна до предела. Пусть этот простак не имел на руках ненастоящего диплома, но ведь многие в наше время получают высшее образование через кассу.

    Интересно выслушать ваше мнение. Возможно у кого ещё случалось что-то похожее?
